Medical Disclaimer

Meruheal is a healthcare coordination service, not a medical provider.

The information on this website โ€” including descriptions of procedures, recovery timelines, anatomy, and pricing โ€” is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and must not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified, registered medical practitioner.

Meruheal does not practise medicine, provide clinical opinions, recommend specific procedures, or assess your suitability for any treatment. All clinical decisions โ€” including diagnosis, choice of procedure, surgical technique, and post-operative care โ€” rest solely with the treating surgeon and hospital. You should always seek the advice of your own physician or a qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical condition or before making any decision related to a medical procedure.

Procedure descriptions on this site are generalised and may not reflect your individual circumstances. Outcomes, recovery times, and risks vary from patient to patient. Nothing on this website constitutes a promise, guarantee, or assurance of any particular medical outcome.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on this website or on Meruheal for urgent or emergency care.

Service Terms (Facilitation Agreement)

These Service Terms govern the coordination and facilitation services provided by Meruheal ("Meruheal", "we", "us", "our") to you ("you", "the patient", "the client"). By engaging our services, paying our facilitation fee, or instructing us to coordinate any aspect of your care, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are and what we do

Meruheal is a Bangalore-based healthcare coordination service operated as a sole proprietorship registered in India. We help patients plan and coordinate elective medical procedures at accredited hospitals in Bangalore โ€” including matching you to a suitable hospital, helping arrange appointments and estimates, and supporting travel and logistics. We are a coordination and facilitation service only. We are not a hospital, clinic, doctor, or healthcare provider, and we do not provide medical advice, treatment, or clinical services of any kind.

2. No medical advice or clinical role

We do not diagnose conditions, recommend procedures, assess your fitness for treatment, or make any clinical decisions. All such matters rest entirely with qualified, registered medical practitioners. Any general information we share is not medical advice. Please refer to our Medical Disclaimer.

3. We do not control hospitals or pricing

We do not own, operate, or control any hospital or clinic, and we do not set or control their pricing, availability, treatment protocols, or standards of care. Hospital charges and surgeon's fees are determined by the hospital and are subject to change. Any indicative pricing or estimate we provide is for planning purposes only and is not a quote, offer, or guarantee.

4. Our fee

We charge a flat facilitation fee for our coordination services. This fee is tiered according to the complexity of the procedure being coordinated and will be confirmed to you in advance. Our facilitation fee covers our coordination services only. It is entirely separate from, and does not include, any hospital charges, surgeon's fees, diagnostic costs, medication, hospital stay, or any other clinical or medical cost. All such costs are payable by you directly to the hospital or relevant provider, in accordance with that provider's own terms and pricing. We do not collect, hold, or process payment for hospital or medical charges on a hospital's behalf. The facilitation fee is for the coordination service itself and is not contingent on the outcome of any procedure or on your satisfaction with any hospital or practitioner.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for: providing accurate, complete, and honest information about your medical history, current condition, and personal circumstances; making your own independent decisions about whether to proceed with any treatment, in consultation with qualified medical practitioners; obtaining your own independent medical advice, including from your home-country physician, before travelling or undergoing any procedure; arranging and paying for your own travel, accommodation (except where we expressly assist), visas, and medical or travel insurance; ensuring you are medically fit to travel and to undergo the intended procedure; complying with all applicable laws, including immigration and visa requirements; and reviewing and agreeing to the hospital's own terms, consent forms, and pricing directly with the hospital.

6. Relationship between you and the hospital

Any agreement for medical treatment is solely between you and the hospital and/or treating practitioner. Consent to treatment, the treatment contract, clinical responsibility, and any duty of care arising from treatment are matters strictly between you and the provider. Meruheal is not a party to that relationship and assumes no responsibility or liability arising from it.

7. No guarantee of outcomes

Medical procedures carry inherent risks, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee โ€” express or implied โ€” regarding the success, results, safety, or suitability of any procedure, hospital, or practitioner, or regarding recovery times or freedom from complications.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: Meruheal's liability to you is limited to the provision of the coordination services described in these terms, and to the amount of the facilitation fee you have paid to us for the relevant engagement. We are not liable for any clinical care, treatment, advice, act, or omission of any hospital, surgeon, or practitioner; for any medical outcome, complication, injury, or loss arising from treatment; or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Meruheal harmless against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of these terms, your provision of inaccurate information, or your decisions in relation to any treatment.

10. Confidentiality and data

We handle your personal and health information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Cancellation and refunds

If you cancel our services after engaging us but for reasons unrelated to a hospital's or surgeon's clinical decision, a flat cancellation fee of US $300 applies. Where you have paid your facilitation fee in advance, we will refund the fee paid less this US $300 cancellation fee. Where the facilitation fee has not yet been paid, the US $300 cancellation fee remains payable. Our facilitation fee is not refundable on the basis of dissatisfaction with a hospital, surgeon, treatment, or medical outcome, as our fee covers coordination services only and not the medical care itself. If a hospital or surgeon determines that you are not a suitable candidate for a procedure, or a procedure cannot proceed for clinical reasons, the US $300 cancellation fee does not apply, and we will refund any portion of our facilitation fee attributable to coordination work not yet performed. Fees for coordination work already completed remain payable. Hospital charges, surgeon's fees, deposits, and all other medical or clinical costs are governed by the hospital's own cancellation and refund policies, which are set by the hospital and are entirely outside our control. Any refund of such amounts must be sought directly from the hospital. Refunds, where due, will be processed within a reasonable period to the original method of payment, subject to any transaction or currency-conversion charges.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bangalore, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or our services.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you engage our services governs that engagement.
