About Meruheal
When someone you love needs surgery, what matters most isn’t a place on a map — it’s knowing a real person has your back at every step. Meruheal exists to make world-class care feel personal, supported and human, from the first message to the journey home.
A note from our founder
Founder, Meruheal
I grew up in a small town in eastern Uttar Pradesh, in a family with medicine running right through it. My maternal grandfather, my uncle, two of my cousins I’ve always been closest to — doctors, every one of them, in everything from neurology to dermatology. It’s the path my parents quietly hoped I’d take too. I had other interests and ended up studying engineering and then an MBA, but I never really left that world behind — because what I absorbed at home was never really about medicine. It was about care.
My parents were the people others turned to in their hardest moments — the ones who showed up, who lent a hand without being asked. As a child I didn’t fully understand it. It was only later that I recognised the thing I’d been watching all along: the quiet privilege of being someone’s confidante through a frightening stretch of their life. That feeling — of standing beside someone when it matters most — turned out to be my calling. Meruheal grew directly out of it.
My own commitment to health is just as personal. I was ten when my father was diagnosed with hypertension, and I watched both my parents rebuild their entire way of living around it — an hour of yoga every single morning, a discipline they’ve held for years. What they’ve achieved at their age is genuinely inspiring, and it left me with a question I couldn’t shake: if they can live this well, why shouldn’t everyone have access to the care that makes a longer, fuller life possible?
And it’s close to home in another way. My own sister lives abroad, so I’ve seen first-hand how hard it can be — even in wealthy countries — to get truly excellent care, in the right way, at the right time. That’s the simple reason I chose to help people from all over the world reach the very best of what India’s healthcare can offer.
Whatever you’re facing, you won’t be facing it alone. That’s my promise to you.
